How to Install

iOS (iPhone & iPad)

  1. Open Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Navigate to parallelarabic.com
  3. Tap the Share button (square with arrow pointing up) at the bottom of the screen
  4. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  5. Customize the name if desired, then tap "Add" in the top right
  6. The Parallel Arabic icon will appear on your home screen!

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome browser on your Android device
  2. Navigate to parallelarabic.com
  3. Tap the menu button (three dots) in the top right corner
  4. Tap "Install app" or "Add to Home screen"
  5. Confirm by tapping "Install" in the popup
  6. The Parallel Arabic app will be installed and appear on your home screen!

Desktop (Chrome/Edge)

  1. Open Chrome or Edge browser
  2. Navigate to parallelarabic.com
  3. Look for the install icon in the address bar (usually a "+" or download icon)
  4. Click the install icon and select "Install"
  5. Alternatively, click the menu (three dots) → "Install Parallel Arabic"
  6. The app will open in its own window, separate from your browser!

If you're using a different browser, you can still add Parallel Arabic to your home screen:

  • Firefox (Android): Menu → "Install" or "Add to Home screen"
  • Samsung Internet: Menu → "Add page to" → "Home screen"
  • Other browsers: Look for "Add to Home screen" or "Install" in the menu

Troubleshooting

I don't see the install option

Make sure you're using a supported browser (Safari on iOS, Chrome on Android). Some browsers may not support PWA installation. Also, ensure you're visiting the site over HTTPS.

Does the app work offline?

Parallel Arabic requires an internet connection to function. The app caches static assets for faster loading, but you'll need internet access to access lessons, stories, and other content.

I want to uninstall

On mobile: Long-press the app icon and select "Remove" or "Delete". On desktop: Right-click the app icon and select "Uninstall" or remove it from your applications folder.
