In Hijazi Arabic, this Form I verb (gafal) is widely used for 'to close', directly corresponding to the Egyptian '2afal'. The Form II verb قفّل (gaffal) and the verb صك (sakk) are also very commonly used to mean 'to close' or 'to lock'.
