Aly sharah lu mushkeltu, w ammo Mahmoud radd: "Bel-zabt! Ana ma'aya ketab el-dars elli enta ayezuh da, khoduh. Ana baruh el-shoghl kull yom ba'd el-ahwa. Enta lazim tedrus lel-emtihan kwayyes geddan." Aly radd: "Alf shokr ya ammo! Ma'a el-salama delwa'ty, ana lazim aruh azaker beih fawran!"
Aly explained his problem to him, and Uncle Mahmoud replied: "Exactly! I have the lesson book you want, take it. I go to work every day after the coffeehouse. You must study very well for the exam." Aly responded: "A thousand thanks, Uncle! Goodbye for now, I must go study with it immediately!"
